All NebraskaWood products are created from wood that is locally sourced, when possible. Wood is harvested from fallen and dead trees on the artist's family-owned land in rural Cass and Sarpy Counties in Nebraska. The wood is the result of storms and natural die-off. Occasionally, pruned branches are used in some items. The most commonly used woods are Elm, Oak, Walnut, Ash, Hackberry, Hickory and limited fruit woods like Cherry and Peach.
This tree made of Maple wood mounted on a Walnut base stands approximately 5.75" tall and has been hand-turned on a wood lathe and signed on the bottom by the artist. A great gift idea, decorative item on an office desk, or reminder of your Nebraska roots!
